Leighton's hiatus of international dominance continues as this Saturday, May 26, she'll be attending Philippines Fashion Week as one of Penshoppe's new muses. Ian Somerhalder is also confirmed to be there, but I am crossing my fingers for this reunion:

Zac is the current face of their campaign :D :D

Leighton + Check in the Dark doing something w/ JustJared yayyy

Hey teens, you can vote for Leighton to stay in the running for a Choice TV Drama Actress award (FOX will ultimately choose the winner, but your vote keeps her from getting eliminated when they make their decision). Since Leighton and Penn were my only source of joy whilst I wasted 30+ hours of my life, forcing myself to watch some of the worst television EVER and offense to young women everywhere the last two years (honestly, I got more excitement out of Passions), I thought I'd abuse my mod powers and nudge you toward who we should vote for under the 'male' category :P

And I love that these are confirmed to be Leighton and Penn candids. Probably laughing at what the show will do to their characters. Or DRIVE THRU.

Adam Sandler and Nick Swardson hosted a THAT'S MY BOY screening at UC (woo!) Santa Barbara the other night. They "fawned" over Leighton (side note: Adam said she'd make him feel dumb because the books she was reading would be 1000 pages :P):
The duo fawned over co-star Leighton Meester, describing her as a “sweet, funny, nice girl,” who enjoyed reading on the set.

Reaction vid (amazing taste displayed at 1:56):

[...]
One of the show’s biggest stars, Leighton Meester, has already made a big geographical switch — from New York to Los Angeles — to commit more time to her other passion: music. “It kind of already feels like it’s coming to an end now because I’m basically living in another place and moving on to something else,” says the woman behind the fiery Blair Waldorf in an exclusive interview with Wetpaint Entertainment. That “something else” has led to her first tour (five shows on the west coast, which kicks off May 29) with band and longtime pals Check in the Dark, whom she calls her “musical soul mates.”

We may be nearing the end of our love affair with GG, but if it’s any consolation, Leighton is prepared to give us the sweetest breakup song ever.

On the beginning of the end for Gossip Girl:
“We don’t go back to New York until July, and we only have four months of shooting [Season 6] so [...] it’s kind of a good thing and a bad thing. I’m excited to for it to end because I’m ready for a new chapter […], and at the same time, the thing I’ll miss the most is the people that I work with. Everyone’s like family — the crew [and] everyone that we work with every day in New York.”

On moving from New York to Los Angeles:
“It’s just such a great, warm, creative environment. And to be around everybody and my friends, to be able to be outside. It feels right [...]. Home is the west coast for me […]. It feels right and it feels great that our first tour is going to such great cities on the west coast.” West Coast love <3<3<3

On comparing music versus acting:
“[Playing Blair] is intense, but music is intense in a different way [and] in a very personal way. When I play a character, it’s pretty much the exact opposite. I mean, I do find parts of the character in myself — and it’s absolutely rewarding to be able to draw from experiences of my own, but the music is my experience. It’s what I’m feeling in that moment.

"I feel like the songs I’ve written these past couple years, that we’re going to be performing [on the tour], they really are an expression of how I felt [at that moment] [...]. It’s completely different [than acting], it’s a different art form — and I’m really, really glad that I have it because it’s part of what keeps me sane — if I can call myself that.”

Three years later they present at the same award show together!

On June 3rd they will cram as many music and film stars as they possibly can under one roof for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. People are speculating about who will be presenting awards that night. Well, we can reveal three of them to you right now.

Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, and Leighton Meester will be handing out one of the coveted buckets of Golden Popcorn. They all star together in “That’s My Boy,” which will be out in theaters June 15th. Andy plays Adam’s kid in the film and they really do look alike. Thankfully for Leighton she looks absolutely nothing like either of them!

From NorthJersey.com:
"The Oranges" stints on the darkness of the subject too. There are no flashbacks of toddler Nina in Mary Janes calling David "Mr. Walling." What we see are two lost, likable characters with chemistry.

Laurie radiates such hapless decency that you can't help rooting for him, and for Meester's mischievous but tender Nina.
Platt's Terry's a delightful shlub, and Janney's sudden angry outbursts are hilarious. Shawkat is a little dull, though- here character mostly but mopes and narrates, even though there are plenty of scenes Vanessa couldn't have witnessed.

Still, the movie hums along, thanks to its top-rate cast.
